Describe a tray with four numbers — rows, columns, and the pitch between bottles. The grid is drawn to scale, so it is a picture of the tray, not a diagram of one.
The count runs along a row then back the other way on the next, so the gantry never drives the length of the tray with nothing to do.
Place the nozzles where they really sit on the bar — evenly spaced or not — and the screen tells you what any gap costs in stops per row.
Stops, volume, cycle time and bottles-per-hour update the instant the job changes — before the tray is loaded, not after.
Click a bottle to leave it out, or resume a run from any bottle after a jam, refill or shift change — just like the real line.
Change the dose mid-run and watch it wait for the current bottle to finish first — the machine's own rule, so no bottle is ever half one volume and half another.
